Description: Currently, the VERUS Ministry team meets from 7-8pm on Monday nights with 15-20 Salvation Army Adult Rehab Center men, most in their first month off the streets and very newly sober. The men are very broken and in need of the love of Christ and hope for a different ,better life. We share a Biblical recovery topic in the first 15 minutes, usually by one of our men who have a story of transformation and recovery. We then get into small groups to process, discuss and apply what we have heard. These are special moments to listen, love and affirm men
who most often have had no father or an abusive father. We leave the results up to God and try to be open to the Holy Spirit as we meet. Our goal is to establish a community of spiritual fathers and recovery mentors to come around men and support them in their path forward. By God’s grace, this is happening.
