Angel Tree

Description: Angel Tree is organized through Prison Fellowship. It connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts on their behalf. In most cases, local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts to children in the name of their incarcerated parent.
The cost of an Angel Tree Christmas is about $25 per child. Included with the children’s information, Prison Fellowship provides a suggested gift type based on what the prisoner picked out using their gift guide. You will confirm with the child’s caregiver that this would be a good gift for the child.

Commitment: A church member registers their church with Angel Tree with the support of their pastor or other church leader(s). The time commitment is dependent on the number of children/families sponsored. Sometime in the fall, Angel Tree Church Coordinators will receive the name, caregiver, and contact information of children who were signed-up by their mom or dad in prison. Angel Tree tags are completed with the name of these children, along with gift suggestions, and are displayed in your church. Church members are invited to select names from the Angel Tree display and purchase, wrap, and deliver a gift for each child on behalf of his or her incarcerated parent—and in the process, share the Gospel.

Contact: Angel Tree Ministry began is 1982 and they provide excellent support and resources to conduct this ministry. Prison Fellowship Webpage:
In this year of COVID, Angel Tree is only accepting gift card donations of $22. per child, which they will send to them.
